  • We are expanding our team of self-employed OHAS (Flowers & Ornamentals) Assessors in England.

    Principal Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Conduct on-farm assessments

    • Summarize and evaluate audit findings, and submit reports in a timely manner

    • Communicate findings and results of audits with client site management or appropriate client representatives

    • Develop effective work plans for the completion of assigned audits within a determined timeframe

    • Establish and maintain effective communication with key team members, including audit delivery and client teams

    • Higher education degree, diploma or equivalent with a study duration no less than 2 years in relevant subject (college degree is insufficient)

    • Minimum of 2 years work experience after higher education study

    • Total of 3 years work experience in the ornamental horticulture industry

    • Lead Assessor Training to an externally recognized standards (based on BS EN ISO 9001 and/or ISO 19001 principles). The minimum training duration is 37 hours. The training should be certificated, and the certificate should show quality auditing, auditing techniques, focus of the audit, reporting, a practical case study, duration and successful completion

    • Recognized HACCP training based on Codex principals

    • BASIS, FACTS (or equivalent training in pesticides and fertilizers)

    • IPM (integrated pest management training)

    • CPD requirements such as belonging to the BASIS Professional Register, attending formal internal and industry training sessions and workshops, belonging to key industry bodies, and working regularly within the ornamental horticulture industry

  • We are looking for a Red Tractor Crops Assessor to join our team of contractors in Wales.

    Principal Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Conduct on-farm assessments

    • Summarize and evaluate audit findings, and submit reports in a timely manner

    • Communicate findings and results of audits with client site management or appropriate client representatives

    • Develop effective work plans for the completion of assigned audits within a determined timeframe.

    • Establish and maintain effective communication with key team members, including audit delivery and client teams

    • NVQ Level 3 or higher in an Agricultural related subject

    • Driving Licence

    • On farm experience (3 years), with some management experience beneficial

    • The ability to communicate with and engage with both the farming community and colleagues in a confident and patient manner

    • Enthusiastic and energetic, with a keen eye for detail and a passion to improve standards

    • Ability to manage conflict and difficult situations

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    • Able to manage own time, plan in work and organize to meet deadlines
